Re-enameling concept a biologic approach (BOPT) for crown restorations, back to the future with the feather-edge preparation, and cubic zirconia.
Modern dentistry is distinguished from that of the past by being able to solve complex and highly aesthetic cases through minimally invasive but resolutive and valid interventions. On the anterior teeth in particular, thanks to the evolution of techniques and ceramic materials, it is possible to obtain aesthetic and functional results, once not achievable, that today, however are more and more requested by our patients. The feather edge tooth preparation applied to new biological approaches (BOPT) and to the new translucent zirconia crowns open new horizons in the complete coronal treatment, with a simplification of the clinical steps and an improvement of the final aesthetic result.

A thorough understanding of occlusal relationships, mandibular dynamics, and vertical dimension is essential before initiating irreversible therapy. Predictable outcomes depend on strict adherence to functional principles.
Successful rehabilitation requires close collaboration between the dentist and the dental technician. Accurate data transfer, proper articulation, and precise laboratory execution are key factors in achieving optimal results. Despite modern digital workflows, strong analog knowledge—such as facebow transfer, articulator use, and diagnostic wax-up—remains the foundation for understanding occlusion and function.
Only through gnatological principles, teamwork, and solid foundational knowledge can long-term stability and excellence be achieved in full mouth rehabilitation.

Ceramic veneers represent the most aesthetic and minimally invasive prosthetic restoration; however, the indications for veneers remain limited.
Each case must be thoroughly analyzed and carefully planned. The course of therapy and preparation techniques vary depending on the specific indication. In order to fully achieve the desired aesthetic and functional outcome, strict clinical and laboratory protocols must be followed.
Ceramic veneers are restorations that require maximum precision, but they provide superior final results.
