10 questions in 10 minutes with… Dr. Florin Lazarescu, the President of ESCD
Florin Lazarescu has been the ESCD president for over 1 year and a half. He tried to bring the organization to a whole new level; he tries to improve the relationship with the European media, to lead partnerships and to bring to ESCD the most wanted speakers (and greatest events and parties as well).
But who is the person behind the scene? Well I’ve just asked him.
1. How would you describe yourself?
“I ‘m a passionate dentist, a hard working person, a tough manager and an enthusiastic project manager. I do have a demonic and alert working rhythm and I like to think that I put the right person in the right place, offering new challeges for each one of them.
2. How would you describe yourself in 3 words?
L: Passionate, hardworking, skillful.
3. What do you like?
L: I like to travel, I like to see people smiling, to make people happy.
4. Which is your passion?
L: My work is my passion.
5. What is your dream?
L: To have a 6 months vacation every year.
6. Why did you become a dentist?
L: I’ve become a dentist- you will laugh – because I admired one strange doctor who had this job when i was just a boy.. The rest is history…
7. How did ESCD influence your career?
L: It improved my communication capabilities and it helped to document and to improve the techniques I am using day by day at the clinic.
8. Which is the most spectacular case?
L:I have more. I will present you some.
9. If you were to be anywhere in the world where would you like to be right now?
L: On a boat, sailing.
10. When did you cry last time?
L: Oh… this is not funny anymore, but, ok… I will tell you: one of our employees died recently, he worked with us for over 10 years and we had quite a strong relationship; and he considered me like a second son.So it was a tough moment especially for me but for the whole clinic and the whole team as well.
But death is a part of life so, it is something natural I guess… and this kind of pain also, isn’t it?
Especially that I told you before: I love life so… let’s all have fun and enjoy this time whole we are still here… Live with no regrets! And do not look back. Only have a great life…
