Graduated the Victor Babes University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Faculty of Dentistry in Timisoara, where he also had the honor to be appointed from 2015 till 2017 as Assistant Professor in the Prosthodontic Department. Javier Tapia Guadix was born in 1978 in Madrid, Spain. He finished dental school at the European University of Madrid in 2003. Working then as associate professor in the prosthetics department during 2004.

In 2005 he started his career as professional computer graphics artist, focused on illustration, animation and application development. He founded the company Juice – Dental Media Design for this purpose.

He received the Collegiate Merit Award by the Spanish College of Dentists from the 1st Region in 2005, for his collaboration in the commission of new technologies.

In 2011 he founded together with Panaghiotis Bazos and Gianfranco Politano the Bio-Emulation group.

He actively collaborates with several universities across Europe and is member of GC Restorative Advisory Board. In 2014 he became official reviewer for the Journal of Clinical and Experimental Dentistry. Then in 2017 he became official reviewer for the International Journal of Esthetic Dentistry.

Javier works in his private practice in Madrid, focused on restorative dentistry and aesthetics.

He is an international lecturer with participation in more than 250 congress, hands-on courses and live courses. He published several articles in restorative dentistry, dental photography and computers in dentistry.

Dr Hirata is an assistant professor at the Biomaterials and Biomimetics Department of New York University (NYU). His research focus is on implants and restorative biomaterials. He also runs a private practice in Curitiba, Brazil, specializing in esthetic dentistry. He is the coordinator of several post-graduate programs focusing on esthetic and restorative dentistry in Brazil and he has held lectures about esthetic restorations in many countries. He earned his DDS from the Federal University of Parana, Brazil, in 1995, his MSc in Biomaterials from the Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, in 2002, and his PhD in Restorative Dentistry from the Rio de Janeiro State University in 2009. Dr Hirata has published various papers in specialized journals and contributed more than 10 chapters to expert publications. His first textbook called “TIPS in esthetic dentistry”, which was published in 2011, has already been translated into three languages.

Prof. Dr. Ivo Krejci received his Dr. med. dent. degree in 1986 and his Privatdozent (Switzerland) in 1993 from the University of Zurich, Switzerland. He is Fellow of the Academy of Dental Materials and has a postgraduate specialization training diploma of the Swiss Society of Preventive and Restorative Dentistry. Prof. Krejci has published over 350 articles and book chapters on restorative topics and is author of several text books. Prof. Krejci has supervised more than 60 doctoral theses and has lectured on numerous international scientific meetings and continuing education courses.

From 1998 to 2022, Prof. Krejci served as an ordinary professor and chairman of the Division of Cariology and Endodontology, University of Geneva, Switzerland. 1999-2004 he was the director of the TERBO Department, Section de Médecine Dentaire, University of Geneva. 2000-2009 he was vice-president of the Section de Médecine Dentaire, University of Geneva. 2009-2018 he served as the president of the University dental Clinics (CUMD) of the University of Geneva. 2014-2022 he was director of the Department for preventive dental medicine and comprehensive dental care of the University of Geneva. From 2015 to 2022 he was director of the Master of Advanced Studies in Microinvasive Esthetic Dentistry and from 2019 to 2022 co-director of the Master of Advanced Studies in Digital Dental Technologies at the University of Geneva. 2011-2022: He served as scientific advisor of the Geneva school of dental hygienists.

Dr. Simion serves as referee for the Journal of Periodontology, International Journal of Periodontics and Restorative Dentistry, and Clinical Oral Implant Research.
